The visionary leaders at Alphanome.AI, in collaboration with AI experts in Vizag, made a bold decision to invest in and kickstart a hands-on, practical AI community as part of their plans to relocate their headquarters to the vibrant shores of the City of Destiny.

With a vision to unite AI enthusiasts, innovators, and industry leaders, the inaugural AI Leaders’ Meet was held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, in Visakhapatnam. The event brought together some of the brightest minds in AI for an evening of insightful discussions, collaboration, and meaningful connections. What began as a simple idea has now grown into a vibrant, thriving community dedicated to advancing Visakhapatnam’s AI ecosystem.

Since then, the community has organized several FREE, hands-on AI events — sponsored by passionate members and companies — with the dual goal of spreading practical knowledge and fostering connections among the city’s brightest tech minds.

The Change In Direction

Towards a new WhatsApp community

Initially, we decided to use a Discord server for the community. However, we assumed that the limited adoption of Discord among our audience was contributing to low engagement. This assumption was confirmed by the Reddit post below, which ultimately led to the creation of a new WhatsApp community organically.

ℹ The new Reddit post and WhatsApp community were independently created by talented individuals like Manojkumar Aadari (Member of Technical Staff 2 @ Adobe) and young innovators like Mani Varshith. Initially, the idea was to sponsor the new WhatsApp community but later it made more sense to merge them both together.
